The Award will be open each year to a forthcoming or continuing domestic or international student who:
- is registered or registering full-time in a program of study for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Astronomy and Astrophysics, established in the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics in the ANU College of Science; and
- has verified First class honors (H1), or documented equal conditions.
